"A Grand Vision for People’s Livelihood"

In June this year, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia issued new regulations regarding the application conditions for the MM2H new qualification visa and the application for agency licenses. According to the latest guidelines, the general application conditions for the MM2H program are:

The eligibility to apply for the MM2H program is open to foreign citizens who have diplomatic relations with Malaysia;

All categories of applicants must be at least 21 years old (for economic zones) or 25 years old (for silver, gold, and platinum groups);

Applications should be submitted through MM2H agencies licensed by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture of Malaysia in accordance with the Tourism Industry Act 1992. Any personal or direct applications will not be accepted; and

All new applications or renewal applications for MM2H must be submitted through the MM2H One-Stop Center. All matters related to immigration and approval are supervised by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Malaysian Immigration Department, including appeals for rejected applications, which must be made to the Minister of Home Affairs.

In addition, MM2H has implemented four categories of eligibility conditions for application.

  • Letter of Application from the main applicant
  • Resume/ CV of the main applicant
  • 1 Set of MM2H Application Forms – for each person
  • 4 Coloured Passport Size Photographs – for each person
  • Copy of Passport Main Page and Malaysian visa page – for each person
  • Certified True copy of Marriage Certificate (for Applicants with spouse)
  • Certified True copy of Birth Certificates (for children only)
  • Certified True copy of latest 3 months bank statements or other financial documents showing liquid funds
  • Certified True copy of latest 3 months bank statements showing income as deposits into a personal bank account
  • Certified True copy of latest 3 months copies of pay slip, pension slip or income statement
  • Criminal Clearance Letter/Certificate from government agency – Police report from country of residence or citizenship

  • All copies must be certified TRUE COPIES OF ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS by EMBASSY / HIGH COMMISSION/ NOTARY PUBLIC.
